Lauren Goes to London: Friday, Friday, Gotta Get Down on Friday!

We woke up early and headed to Buckingham Palace for the Changing of The Guard ceremony which was much more crowded than anticipated! We could hardly see, but I finally got a daytime- view of the Queen's home! It turns out, contrary to what I thought previously, she's actually not living there right now, there is a different flag that is raised when she is home. After the ceremony was over, the sun came out and we went and sat by the fountain out front and soaked up a little vitamin D. As the afternoon begun to approach we headed to Picadilly Ln for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. While waiting for our table, we went to the downstairs bar for some drinks to celebrate the beautiful weather. I got a Pina Colada, it was delicious (even at 1PM!) we got seated and I got a really good cheeseburger and some "chips" ;) After lunch we went back to Oxford St. on pursuit of more good clothing deals. I ended up at a store called "New Look" and bought a blazer, a tank top, and two pairs of high-heels. So normally, I avoid heeled shoes at all costs on account of my pure clumsiness, but that night we were scheduled to go to a "dress" club which means all girls need to wear dresses and heels to get in. I got a pair of electric blue heels and a pair of tan ones unsure of which ones I would wear later. I got back to my flat and ate some dinner and started to get ready for the night. In the end, I chose to wear the blue heels- they were, as expected, awfully uncomfortable. We went to a night club to celebrate a girl on my trip's birthday and I had an amazing time dancing and hanging out with all of my friends from the trip.
