M(adjective) Monday.

Manic Monday, Magnificent Monday? I think I'll settle for something in between to describe my first full day here in London.
The day started out to the sound of my generic iPhone alarm startling me awake at 7:45AM, I quickly hurried to get dressed and prep myself for the day I had ahead of me: The first day of classes at Regent's College.
My flatmates and I quickly navigated to the campus opting to take the longer way down baker st. Home to 221B Baker St, the famous flat belonging to Sherlock Holmes, too bad it was so early in the morning, definitely want to return to check the museum out!
We then walked through Regent's park which would have been awesome (not to say it wasn't...) if it had been a little nicer weather. Today was chilly and overcast all day, but I got to wear my new coat!

Pretty Regent's Park!

We then navigated our way to Regent's College and all gathered into one room and split up into our groups depending on what classes we're taking, it was a little distracting having more than one class studying the same thing with different contexts.

This week:
ENG 353 (Women's Authors): We're reading Evelina by Fanny Burney and we basically are going to be discussing feminism as it relates to the characters in the novel.

ENG 223 (Creative Non-Fiction Writing): Our assignment is to sit on a bench somewhere in London and "take a snapshot" or in layman's terms- write 200 words describing what we see, how we feel, etc. I'll definitely be posting that on here as well and I'm quite excited to complete the assignment.

After that we all went down to the cafeteria to eat lunch and I had a Caesar salad an apple and this absolutely incredible toffee nut muffin, it was like eating a cupcake. A last minute choice on my part and a great one at that.

As a group, we then headed to the Wallace Collection in Manchester Square to find a painting called "The Swing" to discuss tomorrow in Class, but the museum was amazing in itself. They had a lot of armor and we even got to try some on (the pictures are on my friend's camera, I'll be sure to post them on here as soon as I see them!) I'm definitely never forgetting my camera at my flat (thank G-D for my iphone camera though)

some things from the Wallace Collection, the bottom right is "The Swing"

After The Wallace collection, two girls from my group and I split off and went exploring around the part of the city where the Museum was and took pictures in front of all of the cute townhouses, phone booths and other "cute" things we found! (once again, not on my camera :(!)

See? Look how cute!

Now I'm back in my flat, I can safely say I've already "made myself at home" in my bed as the sheets are already uprooting themselves from the mattress and the comforter is all tangled around my feet.
Later tonight, we plan on going to Picadilly Circus and walking around there and then I must must must unpack- it's getting ridiculous needing to rifle through my entire tightly packed duffle to find a pair of socks-- which I need here because it is COLD!

Family: I'm working on trying to figure out a way for you to e-mail subscribe to my posts so they get sent to your e-mail everytime they update!

I also promise to give a photo tour of my flat within the next few days! I know how curious you all are to see my place of residence!

That's all for today!
